Why do you need the permission to read server messages?

This is mainly required for starboards to work as adding a message to the starboard channel requires me to read it’s content, author data, etc. If you don’t plan on using the feature you can safely disable this permission.

What data do you store and how do you use it?

This is mainly dependant on what features you use. For example, no playlists data is saved if you don’t use the /playlist command. Here’s some universally saved data:

• Music player configuration
• Playlist data
• Server “statistics”
• Starboard data
